Navy ship named for WWII commander christened


On June 6Th the USS Adm. Raymond Spruance, a 9,200-ton destroyer class Aegis was christened in Bath,Maine. the US naval ship was named after Adm. Raymond Spruance who commanded two of three air craft carriers used in retaliation to the bombing of Pearl harbor sinking four Japanese aircraft carriers at the battle of Midway the turning point of WW II.
